More Information

The below-listed tentative itinerary is also open for any suggestions once we have interest to enroll. Potters should be of an intermediate to advanced standard (should have some pottery experience and sell commercially or pieces accepted in pottery shows)

Tourist Visa, Flight costs & transportation costs to the location are NOT included in the above costing. Ideally, if the group can travel together it will be a lot easier to manage logistics. The airport to reach is Chennai, India. The hiring of tempo travelers/minivans with drivers is not an issue for transportation and these costs can be shared amongst all of us. This can be looked into at a later date. If an invitation letter is needed to get a tourist visa for India, kindly let me know and this can be arranged from Phoenix potteries.

The Indian government has an online portal called ‘Air Suvidha’ or the passenger locator form. This should be filled in 24~48hrs before travel. At least 2 printed copies should be carried with you.

The weather end of Jan should be about 22~25oC and with about 75% humidity.

Kindly make sure you bring in any prescription medicines and there are nearby GPs and hospitals for emergencies and lots of pharmacies to get medication as well.

All potters should have had their Covid vaccinations & boosters. If there are potters who are against the vaccine then a negative RT-PCR test 72 hrs prior to travel is required. 2 printed copies are to be carried as well. You can download your details through the NHS app on your smartphone as well.
